Brand New Model Railway Build: The LadyKillers
BONUS EPSIODE: Mrs Wilberforce's House
Although I intend a lot of my LadyKillers layout to be scratch-built to save on cost where I can, there's one feature I know has to be absolutely spot on accurate and which I think deserves a little splurging on ... and that's Mrs Wilberforce's (or Mrs Lopsided's) house.
As a focal point of the layout, I want the house to be as close to the film version as possible.
With that in mind, there was only one person I knew I could trust with the job. I gave Tom Marshall from BugglesKelly Station a call.
Tom is not only a fan of the old Ealing comedies, but reverentially recreates characters from old films - he's well known for his Oh Mr Porter! range (and is chairman of the Will Hay Appreciation Society).
Tom got cracking and not too long after sent me a set of first drafts of the build. Even at that early stage I could see that the house was going to be incredible.
In no time at all, Tom handed me the box with the actual house inside... exciting!! And I decided to do the big reveal on my livestream Wednesday Express (Not Stopping at Peterborough).
